We bring a combined fifty years experience to our winemaking and grow and produce a handful of small parcels of wines from Napa Valley, Marin County, and the Sonoma Coast along with other vineyards across California's most scenic and celebrated winegrowing regions. Each of our wines expresses its unique provenance and personality and boasts its own label, depending on its growing appellation.

Pey-Marin Vineyards – Marin County
In 1999, after several decades of working for other vintners around the world, we decided to do something different, to contribute our expertise to a promising but unknown wine region – Marin County. Pey-Marin Vineyards specializes in crafting small lots of flavorful, handmade Pinot Noir and dry Riesling from the rugged hills of western Marin County.
Spicerack Vineyards – Sonoma Coast
We craft only about 25 barrels/year of our Spicerack “Punchdown” Syrah. It gets its name from the many times the fermenting grape “cap” is punched down into the heady must to extract color and flavor. Richly textured yet beautifully balanced, Spicerack is a must-have for any full-flavored meals.
We embrace the best of Burgundy’s "Viticulteur-Negociant" principles, crafting delicious wines from carefully-selected grapes and barrels we have “foraged” from like-minded artisans along the coast – along with delicious lots from our own cellars. Our selection process is demanding and democratic. We pay scant attention to provenance, reputation, clone or vineyard age. We look only toward creating small lots of cool-climate wines that are sublime.
