“There'’'s plenty to like about this wine. Well extracted color, deep core, with a slight fade at the edge of the glass. Some haziness indicates minimal filtration, accompanied by expressive, well-defined, lifted aromatics. Dark fruit, roast coffee, cracked pepper, star anise, and cardamom, add to mid weight on the palate. Quite an accessible style, with no overt oak character; round and harmonious, with very good front and mid palate presence. Balanced, soft finish with ripe tannins. A wine with an artisanal feel. 97% Syrah, 3% Viognier (co-fermented)”.
